Mount Isa Mines are currently for a new team member as a Coreshed Operator in the Geology Team at our George Fisher Operations. This position is residentially based in Mount Isa.

The Role
We are seeking motivated and safety-focused team members to join our Core Shed Operations team on a 5:2 Day shift only roster. Reporting to the Supervisor, you will support the coordination and delivery of all core shed activities within the Geology team at George Fisher

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Pre-start checks
  • Identify and report workplace hazards
  • Collection and delivery of samples
  • Drill core processing; core preparation, cutting, photography, weighing, sample dispatch and core storage
  • Core receival
The successful candidate will possess:
  • Willingness and ability to learn new processes
  • Flexible approach and adaptable to change with a high attention to detail
  • Hold a current Australian Manual Licence
  • Ideally hold High Risk Forklift Ticket
