Working within the multidisciplinary Technical Services department, an exciting opportunity exists for you to join us, reporting directly to the Superintendent – Mine Planning as a valued member of the George Fisher Mine Survey team. As a Mine Surveyor, you are accountable for the timely and accurate delivery of surveying services to the Operations and Technical Services groups.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Volume surveys, using autonomous drone technology, on Surface and Underground.
- Ensuring Mine CAD software packages and databases are updated with current survey information to reflect the state of underground workings in George Fisher Mine.
- Timely reporting of safety concerns and incidents.
- Using and adhering to management policies. Raising concerns as appropriate.
- Maintaining required mandatory training.
- Maintaining databases and KPI registries.
- Provide training and mentoring to new starters, Cadets, and Graduates.
- Complete and store void surveys in appropriate archives.
- Delivery of survey services for both surface and underground in an accurate and timely manner.
- Completing and distributing operational plans.
- Minimum Associate Degree in Surveying or equivalent recognised by the Surveyors Board of QLD (SBQ)
- Minimum of 2 years of underground hard rock surveying experience OR A minimum of 4 years of mine surveying experience
- Proficient software skills in Microsoft Office, Deswik Surveying Software (or similar)
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work in a diverse team.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all operational departments.
- Manual driver's license
