Mount Isa Mines are currently seeking an experienced Special Serviceperson to join the P49 Operations team at George Fisher Mine. This position is residentially based in Mount Isa and works a 7 on/ 7 off, days and nights shift roster.
The Role
Be part of a multiskilling Operations team and provide coverage for various parts of the Operations team, primary role will consist of repairing, replacing, and extending mine services 4” 2” polly, ventilation, dewatering and conducting face preps.
Other roles will include but are not limited to Truck Driving, clean up to mines and relief dev charging when required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- High quality face preparation inspection to enable safe face drilling
- Safe high-quality services installation
- Engaging with a number of department stakeholders to ensure tasks are completed efficiently
- Hold a current manual Driver Licence
- Hold a current Volvo and/or CAT IT ticket (site specific is fine)
- Be hard working, reliable and able to work unsupervised and in a team environment
- Have a strong focus on completing the job safely and compliantly
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Have excellent trouble-shooting & problem solving skills
- Hold a current Police clearance and/or a QESC (Queensland Explosives Security Clearance), or the ability to obtain one, is highly desirable
- Have a flexible approach and be adaptable to change with a high attention to detail
- Have good time management skills and able to work well under pressure
