Mount Isa Mines is seeking motivated and reliable individuals for Operator opportunities within our Zinc Filter Plant. The positions are residentially position based in Mount Isa. The role offers a great pathway into the mining industry for hands-on people who enjoy practical work, operating equipment, working outdoors, and being part of a diverse crew environment. You will gain valuable experience operating plant equipment, supporting concentrate handling activities, and contributing to the safe and efficient production of minerals.

Key responsibilities: 

• Operate and monitor filter presses, pumps, conveyors, and associated process equipment
• Conduct routine inspections, sampling, plant checks, and report equipment issues
• Assist with concentrate handling, including unloading deliveries and product movement activities
• Complete production reporting, shift records, and safety documentation
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment through housekeeping and plant cleaning activities.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Current Australian Driver's Licence
• Strong commitment to workplace health, safety, and teamwork
• Mechanical aptitude and an interest in plant or equipment operation
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow procedures and instructions
• Loader, Forklift, Bobcat, Excavator, or Overhead Crane tickets are advantageous but not essential
