Mount Isa Mines are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter, in the Zinc Lead Concentrator, Maintenance Team at Mount Isa Mines. This position is residentially based in Mount Isa, with multiple roster options including 7/7 day / night, 5/2, 9 day fortnight.

The Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will provide effective maintenance in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner to ensure that production and statutory requirements are met. This is an excellent opportunity to further your experience and develop your technical skills and industry knowledge. This position is residentially based in Mount Isa. This role offers relocation, 12 weeks company housing along with a generous sign-on bonus (conditions apply).
The successful applicant will have the following skillset:
- Trade qualification – Fitter (Mechanical) essential
- High risk work license – Rigger/Dogger EWP and Forklift highly regarded
- Current manual driver’s license
- Experience within mining/heavy industry environment
- Sound computer skills
- A demonstrated commitment to safety
- A self-motivated attitude and enjoy working in small yet highly productive teams
