Townsville Operations 
Located on the coast in tropical North Queensland, Glencore’s Townsville Operations encompass Copper Refineries Pty Ltd and Glencore Port Operations.

Our Townsville Operations mark the final link in Glencore’s fully integrated north Queensland supply chain, connecting the natural resources we produce with markets around the world.

Copper Refineries Pty Ltd is one the world’s leading electrolytic copper refineries, capable of producing 300,000 tonnes per year of premium-quality ISA brand LME Grade A copper cathode using Glencore’s proprietary IsaKIDD refining process. Glencore Port Operations at the Port of Townsville is the export gateway for our north Queensland products.

The role
Reporting to the Manager of Copper Refineries, you will provide effective administrative support to the Manager and Copper Refineries Management Team.

You will be required to perform a wide range of administrative tasks with the key responsibilities including;
  • Provide direct administrative support to the Refinery Manager; manage day to day requests & schedules, attend & minute meetings and organise functions
  • Prepare monthly management presentations
  • Management of meeting room requests and organisation
  • Travel coordination and management of site access requirements 
  • Perform nominated administrative duties as required for production & maintenance departments. Liaise with other departments on site as required i.e. Supply, Safety & Engineering
  • Perform a number of functions in [systems] - Raise stock and direct charge requisitions, maintenance work orders, manage site clothing requests
  • Manage and raise purchase requisitions for administration building services
You will have outstanding Microsoft Office proficiency, as well as advanced word processing, spreadsheet and presentation skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work both in a team environment and individually. You will also have the ability to problem solve and be a motivated, outcome oriented person. Knowledge of Ellipse reporting, SharePoint and previous administration experience in the mining and resource sector would also be an advantage for this role.
