About the role:
Reporting to the Senior Lead, Maintenance Excellence, the Senior Specialist, Maintenance is responsible for supporting and advancing maintenance excellence across EVR's mining operations. Acting as a central resource, this role works closely with site teams, vendors, OEMs, and contractors to improve maintenance performance, equipment reliability, and operational effectiveness.
The position focuses on enhancing work management, planning, scheduling, and maintenance execution processes while supporting technical issue resolution, vendor engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple operations.
Key responsibilities include identifying and implementing improvement opportunities, supporting equipment and product performance investigations, coordinating issue resolution with vendors and site teams, and contributing to maintenance projects and operational initiatives. The role will also provide occasional supervisory support during planned absences, offering valuable leadership development opportunities while ensuring continuity of execution across the business.
The successful candidate is an experienced maintenance professional with a strong background in field operations, maintenance management, and equipment reliability. They will possess strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills, along with a practical understanding of maintenance planning, work management, and continuous improvement principles.

In this role you will:
- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
- Implement and support technical standards and best practices, to ensure compliance with HSEC & HR initiatives.
- Support and influence leaders and teams across the organization on applying technical standards effectively, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring as required.
- Support equipment performance investigations and coordinate issue resolution with vendors and site teams
- Evaluate and improve systems, processes, and tools to strengthen maintenance performance
- Contribute to maintenance projects and corporate initiatives
- Provide occasional supervisory support as needed to maintain operational continuity
Requirements:
- A related Engineering degree, Journeyperson’s ticket, or technical Diploma in a related subject area, or a combination of relevant education and experience in mining or heavy industry
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance planning, scheduling and execution of initiatives
- Strong understanding of maintenance standards, reliability and regulatory compliance requirements within the mining industry.
- Experience in implementing technical standards, procedures, or corporate compliance programs.
- Proven problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement as well as strong organisational and project coordination skills
- Strong leadership and influencing skills in a multi-site environment
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and how they support maintenance compliance and reporting.
- Excellent communication, relationship building, coaching, and change management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite®, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) certification is an asset.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
