The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Mine Technician to join our Glencore Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations in Greater Sudbury, Ontario.

The position will be based in Greater Sudbury, Ontario.

This is a full-time, temporary, unionized position.

Rate of Pay: $44.37 per hour plus applicable bonuses.

This position is being posted to fill an existing vacancy.

Work location is not accessible by public transportation.

Duties and Accountabilities

Incumbents in this position are expected to coordinate and provide effective and accurate survey quantities and volume to the operation. They plan and design auxiliary ventilation and environment control systems for underground and surface operations, and inspect and monitor work areas to ensure that they meet the requirements of the O.H.& S.A. and Company regulations. Incumbents are also expected to coordinate and provide mine development, production and construction layouts for mine operation, in compliance with set standards. Lastly, they prepare timely and realistic schedules of development, ore production, and construction for the operation.

Education and Skills

Two-year diploma in mining is required
