Procurement Intern – Coroccohuayco Project

Reports to: Procurement Lead – Coroccohuayco Project

Position Purpose

Provide support to the Coroccohuayco Project Procurement team in the execution and follow-up of sourcing activities, document management, supplier coordination, and procurement process monitoring, contributing to the timely fulfillment of project requirements while maintaining appropriate standards of control, traceability, and governance.

Operational Context

The Coroccohuayco Project is a strategic extension of the Tintaya–Antapaccay complex, aimed at maximizing the use of existing infrastructure, ensuring operational continuity, and generating sustainable long-term value. The project is being developed in a highly complex brownfield environment with significant technical, social, and environmental considerations, requiring close coordination across multiple disciplines and functional areas.

This position will form part of the Procurement team during the Feasibility stage and the transition toward subsequent project phases, supporting the acquisition of goods and services, tracking procurement requirements, managing information, and providing administrative support to the project’s commercial activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the management and follow-up of purchase requisitions and procurement processes.
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of documentation related to quotation and contracting processes.
  • Maintain procurement records, trackers, and databases up to date.
  • Monitor purchase order status and coordinate with user departments to ensure compliance with established timelines.
  • Coordinate the collection and filing of supplier documentation in accordance with corporate procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, KPIs, and presentations for the department.
  • Participate in document control activities and support process traceability requirements.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Procurement team.
  • Comply with Glencore procedures, compliance standards, and internal controls.

Education

  • Recent graduate, in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, International Business, Commercial Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Availability to undertake professional or internship training in Lima.
  • Interest in procurement, supply chain management, contracts, or mining projects is desirable.

Experience and Competencies

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Basic knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems is desirable.
  • Intermediate English proficiency is desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Good organizational and planning abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proactive attitude, accountability, and commitment to continuous learning.
